Bamboo flooring is an environmentally savvy choice due to the
four-year renewal rate of fast-growing bamboo stalks.

In comparison to Red Oak, the most commonly installed wood flooring, bamboo is actually 25% harder and just as strong. It expands and contracts less than other hardwoods, and therefore can be used where high humidity or temperature variations make hardwoods impractical.
